Most of you probably don't know, but ProjectDiscovery has been maintained in free-time, and we have been doing it so for the past 2 years. It was initially started when we met through the subfinder repository where we exchanged our ideas and started creating solutions out of a passion for open-source.
We still remember when we released our first project, we were flipping out after getting the first 100 stars. There are so many memories around this journey, and we really thank everyone who supported us, opened issues, sent PRs, gave a shout out for our work. It really means a lot to us because it made us stick together as a team and keep our projects alive.
Today, it is a really exciting day for us. We just closed our seed round and our whole team is going full-time, which means faster releases from feedback, better maintenance, and support across our repositories. This is unbelievable, and we never thought we would ever work full-time for ProjectDiscovery.
We have secured $1.7m in our seed round funding led by SignalFire, other investors, including Accel, Rain Capital.
We are lucky to have individual investors joining from the community to power our mission, Caleb Sima (VP Security Databricks), Gerhard Eschelbeck (former Google CISO), Michael Coates (former Twitter CISO), Jason Chan (Netflix CISO), Sacha Faust (Senior Manager Security Intelligence at Amazon) and many amazing others.
Special thanks to Caleb, he really pushed us in the idea of getting full-time into this project and was critical in helping put this together.

We believe in a solution that is scalable, robust, yet really simple to use. We want to take a pause and put more effort into our initial announcement and deliver something that is affordable for individuals yet powerful enough to scale for enterprises. We will soon have updates for everyone who signed up.
While we're proud of how far we have come, we know there is still a lot of work to do. We understand the security professional's frustrations, and we know that there are many key areas where more focus is needed, and this journey is just getting started. Our goals remain the same, to make complex security processes more visible and accessible in a simpler manner that can easily be integrated into the user's workflow.
